An essential part of getting Better at what you do is to measure Skills, ideally against Standards, these are used to help develop people, defining a goal for colleagues to learn and be successful in, allows everyone to be able to focus on their personal growth. Skills are measured through our STARS acronym, (Seen, Trained, Achieving, Recognised & Sensei) which relate to the stages of understanding, showing which stage the each colleague is at.
